Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Hi all.

Well, here it's 20th December tomorrow. So I thought it was about time I started a Happy Christmas thread

2008 has been a good year for Orbiter & Spaceflight.

A lot of good addons have been released for Orbiter in 2008. Maybe 2009 will see a new version of Orbiter? 2009 will definitely see the first release of the ISSU project

As for spaceflight, in 2008, the ESA got it's first permanent lab on orbit on the ISS, Columbus. Japan got it's first lab on the ISS also. ESA's ATV was a huge success. And the ISS came a bit closer to a 6 person crew, plus the Starboard SARJ appears to be fixed also. The Phoenix mission to Mars was a great success aswell. And NASA celebrated it's 50th birthday, and the ISS it's 10th.


Anyway, I'd just like to say Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates it, & Happy 2009 to everyone. O-F is really a fantastic forum. I really feel lucky to be a part of it. We have awesome admins, mods, & not least members.

Not according to the Julian calendar it isn't. New year comes before Christmas in the east

Uhhhh.... What do people mean by "Hail Probe!"?

It's some forum injoke/cult that was carried over from the M6 forums. There's some probe spacecraft somebody made, and people will hail it like it were some pagan idol, cult god, or charismatic dictator.
