On January 20, 1986, the Proton booster launched the core module the space station called Mir, which can be translated as "peace" or "world." The official Soviet news reports, released immediately after the launch, said that the spacecraft is equipped with six docking ports and it will serve as a core of the future multi-modular orbital station.During its 15 years in orbit, Mir became a chapter in the history of space exploration.UPDATED to v.1.3:- separate modules are avaliable- minor mesh fixes- EVA ability

I can't get this to work

I have downloaded this add-on, but some of the modules will not work. I can launch the first four, but not the rest

Didn't know they put solar arrays on Kwant....
 
Looks good, but I have a problem. I tried launching Spektr, but when I pressed "J" to separate the third stage, the Spektr mesh disappeared. When I tried to select it from the menu, I got a CTD. Then I tried the Spektr on orbit scenario and I got a CTD.

Sorry, I've completely forgotten to copy Spektr .ini file in archive. I reload addon on Orbithangar.
If you dont want to download whole archive again, you can download Spektr config separately and put it in Spacecraft folder.

I love Station assembly missions and the original Mir has been sorta left behind with all the new add ons availible. Thanks for taking the time to bring the original Mir back into the limelight.
 
Okay, now the Spektr scenarios are working, but I have come across an even stranger bug. One example is from the Spektr on orbit scenario. I set my focus to Kristall, undocked, and prepared to move the module. When I fired the thruster on Kristall, the same thrusters fired on the docked Soyuz. The same thing happened when I tried moving around in the Orlan suit in the 3. Mir - Kvant 2 scenario.
 
I don't even know what to say. I can't reproduce this bug in all my Orbiter installation. Did you mean thruster fire on Kristall and Souyz simultaneously?
Did anyone else have this bug?

great add-on Thorton congratulations!!! More than 6500 downloads since yesterday! Fascinated:)
 
Thorton, did I miss something, but I installed the addon and the last three Mir launches kick me out? The first three work ok

Rosey, please post content of Orbiter.log file in private message. I'll try look into your problem. It is hard to me understand you problem, because on my Orbiter all works fine.
Are you install all required addons?
 
Okay, I fixed the bug that I mentioned before. Turns out it was entirely my fault, not the add-on's. But, I have a couple of other things to mention:

In the Kvant 1 launch scenario, the spacecraft is on the Proton upside-down. The docking port should be facing down. And, also on Kvant 1, the design for the tug seems a little odd. It differs from its real-life counterpart in several major details.

Priroda seems to be missing its distinctive Travers antenna, although there is probably a reason you chose not to model it.

And finally, I noticed that you included bits from Wikipedia in the manual. Some of which I helped to write! :speakcool:
 
Not answering, eh? :P But I am still wondering if you had any answers for my questions.

I know that in launch scenario kvant1 is upsidedown, because multisrage hasn't "DIR" parаmeter in payload section so i can't change payload orientation.

Also I saw at least 2 different pictures of Kvant tug so I made something average. I hope in some day I'll find some photo of this tug.

Actually I try to make Travers, but it was so heavy (too many polygons) so i decided make it later, maybe using texture with alpha-channel.
 
fixed it

I missed the space suit add on and that is why it did not work
