I was playing with Artlav's SC3 converter. Awesome ! I managed to get credible flight parameters & aerodynamics for that huge plane (and a 100-uMMus capacity).

Well publish it than. :thumbup:

I'v been thinking to make new mesh with texture but simply can't catch time. :dry:

Artlav's SC3 is an awesome tool but questions me a little about author rights... Converting an existing add-on and applying modifications to the code (you've generated through SC3 converter) cannot be called an original creation I think. I'd be curious to have various advices on this ?

Always best to contact the original author if at all possible just to keep from stepping on toes. SC3 ships by their nature are easily modifiable, but actually releasing your changes to the public as a downloadable alternative would still garner permission from the original author who released it. I would expect the same applies to any version you release that is based on other forms of code, which is why I first contacted Jason Benson, who developed the original Explorer Babylon 5 under SC1. I contacted him twice, once to request permission to update it to SC3, then again to request his blessing to develop a full .dll based version.

Well this is my lowest orbit to date (this is only the second time I have tried)

A = 2.2m
P = 1.9m

On the next orbit I tried to adjust my altitude for the next burn and dug my wing into the surface.

Nav lights on that A380 would be a nice addition

A DeltaGlider escorting an A380 over the Atlantic in route for North America.

That pic was hard to take, because the DG is stalling at 30,000 feet and Mach 0.80, even with trim and engine gimbal !

The DG is an interesting interceptor. You climb like a rocket to 90,000 feets, blaze at Mach 4, then dive on the target ! :lol:

Well according to Orbithangar, liber is the author of the A380 addon. And he just gave you permission to publish the converted addon. I think that should be enough to publish the converted A380

If you use the hover engine, that's normal. You need to trigger the ignition sequence by striking Shift-B.

You should have a Main Thrust of 19.6kN

Start firing retrograde (don't use Orbiter's autopilot, look at zenith) at 15 km of altitude. Hold a descent rate of -45 m/s. At 2500 meters, begin to slow down your descent speed to -25 m/s, reduce the horizontal velocity. Throttle back to 13.6 kN and pitch down. At 200 meters, reduce descent rate to 15 m/s, kill any remaining horizontal velocity. Go for landing ; at 60 meters you should be at -4 m/s. Touch down at -2 m/s of vertical velocity maximum.

Beautiful indeed! I've never traveled to the outer planets in Orbiter, I just realized. Even in the simulation, being on such alien places makes me feel a little uneasy. At least Mars is close to home!
