It's not Proton problem, seems you use some old addon which was created for previous Proton version based on multistage2.

Looks to me like it could be a video driver issue. Make sure you have "Always enumerate devices" ticked on the Video tab.

May I ask why the previous v1 Proton was removed?
It is necessary to run some addons, as for example my Venera 9.
I really don't see the point in making the previous version unavailable.
Needless to say, I will not redo something that was working OK in the first place.

I dont see any reasons to keep Proton v1, its old and unrealistic.
And new Proton doesnt require any big modification for your addon, it takes about 5 minutes to update launch scenario and thats all.

I understand that perhaps performance and realism will be better with the new version. And I do like your work !

The fact that you are forcing me to do updates just to keep up is what troubles me a little. Imagine that you release a new version each month :p and that I had to keep pace!

It's just my opinion, but please reconsider making available a legacy version for older addons based on it (Venera, Zond, and probably others). Even if not on OH, perhaps a link on the forum would be helpful.

Well, i will not release new version each month :)
There is only one update which i'll have in plans (launch autopilot implementation) and now i dont have any clue when it may be, few month i think.
Another update could be released only if there will be some compability issues with new orbiter version.

I've had CTD with all Proton V.2 scenarios without any critical error warnings in Orbiter.log
Problem was solved by changing 'System' scn parameter from 'SolM' to 'Sol'. Can't see any reasonable explanation, but nevertheless it helped.

Problem was with White_Sands.cfg in Earth/Bases/M folder. Looks like it uses some surftiles that doesn't included in your addon. Deleting the whole SURFTILELIST section cures the problem.

Missing textures

Hi,

I started with a clean orbiter install and I installed the Proton launch Vehicle. When I load one of the scenarios, I get a screen with no rocket at all. When I hit F3 to view the parts of the rocket, they are all there, but I do not see them on the screen. If I switch to the payload, I will see it laying on the ground. Any Idea why the rocket is invisible like that?

Thanks,
Brian

I am by no means good rocket pilot:) I cannot launch Proton-M/Breeze-M with 5.25mT payload even on stable LEO even using LaunchMFD. During the first stage burning the MFD shows me necessary pitch of 90 degrees (pointing on horizon). During the second stage burn it seems to work correct, but then I'm able to achieve half of orbital speed only a few seconds before of the second stage separation, and the third stage doesn't have enough dV to bring me on parking orbit, at least with LaunchMFD guidance. Maybe you have some typical launch profile so I can use it instead of LaunchMFD?

Following LaunchMFD isn't gonna be much of a help with this cause LaunchMFD only works with SSTO rockets.
