my work is related to laser equipment (used for show business presentations)

In short, a mirror is never perfect and a laser that can punch through a hull would destroy any real mirror quickly as well.

wonderful games, but I would make the laser beam continuous since the purpose of the laser is to heat a certain point if the target is spinning, the energy can spread across the entire surface of the target heating itself may take a long time (space cooling is a separate issue)
