I am new to Orbiter, and I'm trying to run it on a fairly-low spec computer running Windows Vista. It runs smoothly at low resolutions in windowed mode (such as, say, 600 x 450) but I can't see the full range of controls in the cockpit. For example, I can't see much out of the cockpit and, from what I can gather from various screenshots, a fair bit is cut off the controls at the side as well. Is there any way to have the controls and so on scale down to fit the window?

If you have a bad computer, roll back to XP and it will give you much higher performance. And if you're not gonna go to XP, use VistaBoost to give you a bit more framerate.

You can use the arrows to move your 2D panels around and right click and hold, then move around the mouse to look around the cabin in the Virtual Cockpit view. You can also use x and y keys to increase and decrease your field of view.

Unfortunately, I can't roll back to XP at this time, though I installed VistaBoost.

I was trying to use the cockpit mode with the two MFDs, and if anyone can give any advice as to using that I'd be very grateful -- as I said, it cuts off at the top, bottom and side. Pressing x and y didn't do anything to rectify this.

Use the arrow keys to scroll around the panel.

And try 800x600 at the very least...600x450 is tiny and you'll have a hard time getting anything done.

Scrolling with the arrow keys will only work in 2D panel mode.
In glass cockpit mode you will have to reduce the mfd size in the launchpad options.
You can also scale the 2D panel in the options, but the result will look really bad. Better use the keys to scroll.
