you make a wonderful MMU with movable limbs. it will be a universal remedy? it will be possible to apply it to another model of the spacesuit or replace the existing spacesuit? (no coding)
Donamy made the suit. We made some changes. The simple answer is no. You could redo the code for another suit. Animation mesh groups would not be the same. Do you have a suit to try? If you had a sc3/4 of the joint that would be great and easy to adapt

Hi gattispilot,

I haven't been following the thread.
Hope you don't mind a uniformed question.
How is the project going? Will there be a shuttle to supplement Dr Martin's? for Orbiter 2016?
Do you need any beta testers?

Hi everyone ! I've just read a big thread about this addon on the french forum. I haven't played a lot with shuttles yet, but it gave me a lot of interrest to it. I'll give it a try when the next update will be released. It looks amazing ! Thanks a lot for your efforts ! (y)

Hi all,

After years of hiatus, I am back into Orbiter and installed good old Shuttle Fleet :) It's such an awesome add-on!

I'm struggling this time around with getting it to work, however, and I was wondering if you folks had some pointers. Specifically, the shuttle won't lift off! Yes, I'm doing GPCMFD OPS1 ITM 777, and the shuttle counts down correctly, and the SSME fire as normal. But the shuttle just tips over, and then accelerates into the earth. The SRBs seem to fire as well.

What I did:

  • Clean install of Orbiter 2020
  • Install Orbiter Sound 5.0
  • Install DanSteph's DGIV + Ummu 2.0
  • Install Shuttle Fleet

Nothing else. Am I missing something?

I should also mention that the same happens when just pressing + and trying to launch the shuttle off manually. Everything fires, but the shuttle falls forward and then launches into the ground.

Thanks very much in advance!

What is Orbiter 2020?

Shuttle Fleet will not launch well. That is why I redid it to STS 2016:

I see! Looks like your package is awesome work, thank you so much.

Followed the installation guide in your STS2016 add-on, and every scenario crashes during load with a similar error:

000000.000: Module MS_Camera.dll ......... [Build 170505, API 160828]
000000.000: MS_Camera: Target Vessel Loaded->ET-1
000000.000: >>> ERROR: No vessel class configuration file found for:
============================ ERROR: ===========================
Shuttle2016BEARLY
[Vessel::OpenConfigFile | .\Vessel.cpp | 243]
===============================================================
000000.000: >>> TERMINATING <<<

I suppose something is wrong with Multistage_2015? I have it installed in order with your specs in the doc.

Is that a known issue?

Otherwise I will try again tomorrow night. Thanks!

Oh. Make sure the cfg for the SHUTTLE2016B and the early are in the cfg/vessel folder

Hmm; yea looks like these config files are in config\GC. Copying them into config\vessels ensures that the scenario can load - but it seems the scenario is broken. The objects are in the scenario it seems, but trying to focus on either one of them via F3 places the camera 1AU away somewhere in space, and trying to change the camera settings CTD the scenario.

Maybe just to re-cap, and apologies for being maybe not entirely glued up:

Based on your STS2016readme.pdf file, the order of installation should be:

  • Base Orbiter 2016 (! ;) )
  • Orbiter Sound 5.0
  • Multistage 2015
  • DsD9 Client
  • THEN your Google drive folder (3 different ZIP files) as per the forum link you were suggesting earlier. ("Space Transportation System 2016-20220824T012123Z").

Now the baseline scenarios should work?

Otherwise, proceed with installing the add-ons:
  • Camera MFD
  • Notes MFD
  • Space Shuttle Fleet V 4.8
  • Etc.

Are ALL add-ons required from your PDF, or should some scenarios work without the entire list?

Yes. And No.

So I updated the base shuttle. And I am redoing the scenarios and payloads. So all you really would need is STS_payloads and MS2015 and Notes and CameraMFD. The Notes MFD is used to tell what to do in the scenario.

If you want to test the new shuttle and mission 1. I can send you the links.

On the cfg. The cfg in the GC file are for effects. the cfg need to be in the vessel folder.
