I'm looking for space stations or large ships that have hangars built into them. I'm also looking for these hangars to have docking ports so smaller ships in the hangar stay in place. Does anyone know any good addons like this?

If you are looking along the scifi bent, there is always the battlestars from rtf, but you have to use the rtf ships to dock inside the bay.

I don't think rtf vessels get the credit they deserve. They are very nicely modeled ships.

I'm looking more for ships/stations with sci-fi style hangars, like what you may see in Star Wars or some other series. The Ceres above has the kind of hangars I'm looking for.

Worlds of 2001 had Station 5 (and 4), you've got the added challenge of docking with a rotating station. Bonus points if you can do it with no autopilots.

And what autopilots would you go about using? :p

AFAIK none of them work with rotating docking ports.

UAP...
It's almost cheating. The DGIV also has an autopilot that will greatly assist, but not with a rotating station, thankfully the WO2001 stations don't currently require that rotational alignment be dead-on, but it is/was very satisfying to "get it right".
But the Universal AutoPilot is freaking amazing, but like I said, it's as good as cheating.

I haven't checked it out, because as you said twice, it seems like cheating. :p

At risk of making this even more off-topic, I saw a thread in which Martin said he was thinking of making an MFD which kept rotational alignment with a dock, but did not automatically dock to it. Something like that I'd definitely consider using, especially if I had to dock in a hangar (we can't be clipping the walls now can we?)

How about Greg Burch's [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2681"]AirDock[/ame], which also features in his [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2626"]Celestium[/ame] addon?

Not quite true. You can make any ship RTF capable and I give an example using the DG. All you need is a child point Named RAP or CAP to attach to the battlestar bays. You can then use the RTF pop-up to launch or any other attachment manager.

I blame the sci-fi haters.

Which is strange because Orbiter included scifi ships from the start. Oops, I forgot ShuttleA, DG and the lunar wheel are all real ships. My bad.
