You may wanna try, to make an acceptable shape of all the rollers inside too.

I'll try.

Just a clarification: when you say rollers, are talking about the small cogs that fit inside the sprockets?

Yes, the inner workings of it.
That's going to be hard as the shoes have sloped outboard and inboard sides. The line drawings I uploaded earlier shows this.

Almost done with the drive truck. Just need to add the steering cylinders that extend from the main body towards the drive truck. Plus some final small details to the propel motors.

The treads look alittle thick, but when you get the textures the right color, it should look great. Good job !!!:speakcool:

Now that you mention it, I see it as well. I'll fix it ASAP.

Took quite a while, but here's the new textures and belt mesh. Some final texturing fixes to do, but it's coming along quite good now.

My suggestion would be, to make the lines black instead of white.

My plan all along. BTW, any tips on how to fix this texture error.

Here's two screenshots of the last drive truck work. The large steering "A-frame" can clearly be seen.

Drive truck is now finished except for some small rework here and there.

Attached two screenshots showing the lower and upper steering arms extending from the main body to the drive truck. Also shows the two "wings" in front of the belts.

I am happy to report that the CT is now entering final closeouts and checks. Just some final tweaks left, including the addition of the catwalks.

With that I want to discuss how we best implement the CT. As I mentioned earlier in this thread:

DaveS said:
I know that the Project Apollo guys have made a pretty nice Crawler, complete with VC positions, custom VesselSound and MeshLand support so that it can move up the pad ramp.

Only thing it lacks is a functional Jacking, Equalizing and Leveling system.

Main coder for this project was Tschachim.

I think this would be the best way as that code is 100% checked out, verified and tested.

Also the SSU and Project Apollo has similar licenses, if the not the same one, so code sharing wouldn't be an issue.
