BenSisko: The problem with the posted scenario is that SSU uses a 'dummy' propellant tank just to get the thruster inputs; this tank needs to have some fuel in it for any RHC/THC inputs to be detected. The line
PRPLEVEL 0:0.980 1:0.995 2:1.000 3:1.000 4:1.000 5:0.992 6:0.992 9:0.030
should work.

only allows ROT commands via the keypad. If I edit OPS 304 to OPS 202 or OPS 201 I can get translation from the keypad but not the arrow keys or ins/del. If I stay in OPS 301 or 304 no translation with either the keypad or arrow keys. Can you duplicate this or is it just me?

Are you sure it doesn't work in MM 301? You should only transition to MM 304 5 minutes before entry interface, at which point translation won't be useful. You should have translation capability in all other modes, though.

Is it possible to install SSU v1.25 with Mid-Res KSC instead of Hi-Res KSC? The add-on page for the Hi-res version says "Not for low end computers!" so if I have 1GB RAM would that be OK?

Installed SSU v1.25 with Mid-Res KSC instead, along with spacecraft3. CTD happened while loading the "STS-120 L-10 minutes.scn" scenario.

Some scenarios (Atlantis cockpit, and STS-126 docking with ISS Nov 16) worked, the others (STS-126 launch, STS-120 L-10 minutes, and Atlantis final approach) didn't.

I just realized, that would be good to have something like crossfeed for RCS fuel. That, what is now, is not enough to perform correct TORVA and then Fly-Around. Also, performing different attitude maneuvers is not recommended in case lack of fuel during first phase of re-entry.

There is no crossfeed between FRCS and ARCS though. I think there is only the crossfeed between OMS/ARCS that is used in normal flight during RCS burns, I am not sure about it.

I would say, the real problem is not the lack of fuel many people experience, but maybe the SSU guidance being a bit wasteful with it. I am sure we have many examples during a mission where we use RCS fuel that could be conserved.

Ok, thanks. Now problem with OBSS, BenSisko had this. I compiled newest sources from SVN few minutes ago. OBSS and STBD_MPM are in correct positions. Closing orbiter and launching Current_State.scn causing disappear of STBD_MPM and OBSS is perpendicular to shuttle payload bay bottom. I noticed that lines responsible to STBD_MPM are not written to scenario file when orbiter quits.

That's because we decided to change where you specify whether you want the RMS and starboard MPMs or not. Now it is specified in the mission files, not the scenario files.

Just as warning for future developments: The other "vessels" in the SSU world will also support "MISSION xxx" as scenario file option in the near future, the mission files will also store information for their support tasks.

Small RMS bug discovered :)

RMS with OBSS maneuvered to "STBD T0 UMBILICAL AREA INSPECTION" attitude.

At this attitude, rolling and pitching wrist causes roll in both cases. I'm at RMS control mode, RMS mode is ORB UNL and RCS mode is set to ROT.

Is it possible to install SSU v1.25 with Mid-Res KSC instead of Hi-Res KSC? The add-on page for the Hi-res version says "Not for low end computers!" so if I have 1GB RAM would that be OK?

Some scenarios (Atlantis cockpit, and STS-126 docking with ISS Nov 16) worked, the others (STS-126 launch, STS-120 L-10 minutes, and Atlantis final approach) didn't.
The CTD is because some of the scenarios use a different version of Canaveral.cfg, which was written assuming the Hi-res KSC would be installed. To fix this:
1. Open Config\Earth\Base\Canaveral.cfg and copy everything between BEGIN_SURFTILELIST and END_SURFTILELIST.
2. Open Config\Earth\SSU\Canaveral.cfg. Replace the lines between BEGIN_SURFTILELIST and END_SURFTILELIST with what you copied from the other file.

EDIT: Attached corrected file; copy it into Config\Earth\SSU. I haven't tested this, but it should work.

Are you sure it doesn't work in MM 301? You should only transition to MM 304 5 minutes before entry interface, at which point translation won't be useful. You should have translation capability in all other modes, though.

Positive, just checked it again. In OPS 301, I've got rotation and transition control with the keypad commands but no function with the arrow or ins/del keys. The glitch seems to only be in this scenario.

If you attempt forward/aft translation with the keypad keys (6/9) the commands become inverted after toggling through either the mid-deck or ODS camera views (forward/aft translation = keypad 9/6). This will reset with a restart of the scenario. I don't think ins/del commands are affected. The command inversion after viewing through the ODS camera confuses docking alignment.

In the scenario you posted, the shuttle is already in MM 304. You need to edit the scenario to get into MM 301; for me, this gives normal translation control.

remember, the shuttle flies differently from the front and aft stations.

Tried the scenario, and everything seems to be working normally; as Donamy mentioned, the translation axes are modified when using the aft stations.
