@SiameseCat: Thanks, it worked.

Tried Ctrl-+ for a while just to see what happens. A few seconds later it looked like I was test firing the SSMEs and SRBs together... Lots of pretty fireworks. I will need to read the manual soon :D

In the scenario with the Shuttle in space, the RMS also looked as if it "pierced through" the Shuttle (perpendicularly).

Are you sure it doesn't work in MM 301? You should only transition to MM 304 5 minutes before entry interface, at which point translation won't be useful. You should have translation capability in all other modes, though.

Here's the scenario edited for OPS 301. The keypad responds for both rotation and translation but I get no response from the arrow keys or Insert/Delete.

As to the translation RCS from the aft stations, thanks you've all taught me something. I thought that the RCS orientation changed only when the -X/-Z switch was thrown and that this changed the action in the Z axis not the X axis. Thanks

I know this may have already been asked but I don't want to sift through 11 pages of posts: How do you retract the OBBS? I don't think it was very realistic when I flew right through it on launch

Just tried that scenario, and the Ins/Del/Arrow keys work fine for me. What happens if you use MM 201 in that scenario?

Use the Generic PDRS checklist from Nasa's site. Scroll down to the generic FDF section and look for PDRS Operations Checklist. The info is on page 4-4. Check list is found here:

Same problem. no translation function with arrow or Ins/Del. I'm stumped. I don't have this problem with any other scenarios.

I figured out what's happening: the APUs are on, which disables the Ins/Del and arrow translation controls. The Ins/Del keys worked for me beacuse I've been working on the APU code, so the APUs weren't running when I tried the scenario.

I'm thinking of allowing the alternate translation controls to be used even when the APUs are running; the problem with this is that using Ins and Del with the APUs on will change the trim setting.

I figured it out and stepped back to MM 301 with the APU's off. Everything's cookin' fine now. For those of us that fly without a joystick the Ins/Del are pretty important. Thanks for the help!

Here's another puzzle. I've tried to translate STS-127 launch and docking into SSU scenarios using Donamy's STS-126 for SSU and David413's STS-127. My modus operandi is to edit the config/spacecraft files for the payload bay contents then edit the scenario for the position in the bay. My problem here is that I got the positions nailed in the docking scenario but whacked on the on the pad. How can that be? I thought the config files would define the element's position WRT the bay in any iteration. Examples below (I ought to wait until you release the full package ;)). As always, any suggestions appreciated.

I took the STS-120 launch scenario, and changed the Autopilot to launch to an other inclination. When launching to the default inclination (ISS) everything works fine, but as soon as I change it to something else (28.5°) I'm unable to reach orbit. Everything works fine until SRB sep, but soon after that the shuttle just jumps away millions of kilometres from Earth. Currently I solve this by using Shuttle Fleet for launch, and switch to SSU as soon as I reach orbit, but it would be nice to do the whole flight with SSU.

CRT MFD is missing the ITEM, SPEC and OP buttons (I think those are the buttons?) after I hit the UP page to show all the Ops info.

Is this normal?

Yes. You use the CRT keypad on the C2 panel.

SSU beginner sorry (RCS problem)

Sorry I've read a lot of things discussing this issue and I haven't been able to get to the bottom of it could someone at least point me into the right direction.

- I've noticed that the forward RCS stop working once I get a little ways into my flight. I've seen people mention a fuel problem. And some simply replied "conserve fuel." What is the root of this and how do I remedy it, as a beginner should I just turn on unlimited fuel once I get into orbit until I get a little more efficient with my maneuvers, or is there a way that I could equally distribute the fuel between all of the systems. Thanks and sorry for what is probably a redundant post.
