News Valeriy Kubasov dies

The second one out of those who shook hands during the first rendez-vous of spacecraft from the USSR and the USA back in 1975, flight engineer Valeriy Kubasov, has passed away today, according to Roscosmos message.

May his final path to the start be smooth.

It amazes me how I could remember names like Stafford or Truly but the Soviet heroes like Kubasov or Dzhanibekov? For a few days after they get some attention but otherwise, no.
