Problem Visual Studio 2017 Express Runs Out Of The Trial!

I've read Hlynkacg's Shuttle PB => Lunar Lander tutorial to create a standalone LM for Orbiter 2016 but the luck falls quickly! The Visual Studio 2017 Express runs out of the trial, means I need to log in/register and send money to continue! I don't want to send money because I don't have enough money in my account to continue! Otherwise, I can help to 1987VCR for Multistage2015 Saturns of Orbiter 2016. Please don't send me money to help!

If you downloaded the installation file from here, then all you need to do is register it for free. There's no "pay-to-register" fee involved, unless you downloaded it somewhere else that might have some insidious payload(s) attached to it.

DaveS, that link is now to VS2019. How will this affect development for Orbiter if VS 2017 is no longer available?

It shouldn't if VS 2019 Community abides by the same licensing as VS 2017 Community.

Visual Studio 2017 has an Express edition as well!

You are right! Express doesn't have many capabilities like the Community, but I choose Express because it is lightweight.

Exactly - lightweight would be Visual Studio Code and the CLI tool chain... That is even lightweight if you do .NET...
