Atlantis disjointed RMS screenshot:
Um. Are you sure it's the right image?
Looks like a year old, and i don't see neither Atlantis, nor RMS.

Copy clean Orbiter 2006P1 into a folder, copy Orbiter beta over it, copy OGLAClient over it, copy heightmaps in.
Should work that way.

Ok , is working now, :speakcool:

Single core CPU Amd 2400+( 2000 mhz ) 2 Gb of ram and a Ati 2600XT Agp card i have a constants 25-30 fps at the moon and 30-40 in the Ogla_setscene

:speakcool:

ps-it´s a new experience fly with the new terrain and haze, really impressive.

No luck on getting the KSC surface tiles working.

I've done everything I can think of to get them working but, they're just not being loaded despite the actual texture files being in the Textures\ folder.

I have two questions -
1)Do I need ORulex, or is it built in?
2)How do I turn on the rocks in Saturn's rings?

Thanks.

1- is built in

2- are already there

you only have to stay close

if you use the solar system scenario , saturn, you can zoom and see the rocks

Screenshot please?
Do you haver terrain on?
Without Orulex engine, nothing but Lv8 is drawn on planets.

Under landing pad...could be add and runway?
That's not my domain.
Ask Martins.

1)Do I need ORulex, or is it built in?
No, here Orulex is not a name of an add-on, but a name of a terrain engine.
No Orulex add-on installation needed, it's all built in.
But you still need to download a heightmap, or use any that comes around Orulex add-on.

2)How do I turn on the rocks in Saturn's rings?
By flying thru the rings.
Also, advanced graphics must be on for it to work.
What seems to be the problem?

I must've installed it wrong then....

are you meant to keep the Directx7 client activated too?

EDIT: Ok It runs fine in orbiter_ng but not at all in the normal one, is it meant to do that?

Once again, your suggestion fixed the issue with the surface tiles. Now just one thing more: Missing textures on the KSC buildings.

Great work, everything looks nice and works nicely! Fix2 was the final fix needed for me! There's some very awesome work you have done on OGLA and it is paying off very nicely in terms of graphics quality and speed!

Can't wait until it's done! Is there anyway to have multi-lights with advanced graphics activated for mapped shadows? Would like to see how the multi-lights on Atlantis affects objects in the payload bay as orbiter lights are located in the bottom of the payload bay.

---------- Post added at 11:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:32 PM ----------

After completing a nominal DG ascent and orbit insertion, I can now answer the the three questions in the first post:

* Is it playable?
Very!
* Does it run fast enough and bugless enough?
It runs about 2.5x faster than 2006P1 Orbiter edition here. I get about twice the FPS in OGLA than I get in 2006P1(~65 vs ~33). Only fixes needed are to the MFDs in the default "glass cockpit" view as the only button visible is the PWR button, the rest are not visible but clickable though.

Thanks.

Is anyone else getting this orangey tint when advanced graphics is on?

I had that problem at first, but it's not happening now.

Current issues: The configuration dialog from the launchpad visual effects is still very difficult to use. (see attached)

Also, with Glass disabled (on Win7, in either Windows 7 Basic or Classic themes), the window opens but remains solid white (nothing becomes visible).

When it's on the loading screen, at "Loading Additional data / Basics", the screen will flash, sometimes a dozen or more times in just a couple seconds. This is a potential seizure risk.

See the attached images for other comments. Ignore the thing about fullscreen, it's not actually in fullscreen. I normally use two monitors, but switching to a single monitor didn't help any of these issues.

The image where the runway and buildings are visible was taken from a different angle than the one where they aren't visible. I don't know what causes them to be visible sometimes but not others, but panning or zooming out can make it visible.

OGLAClient status release 090321:
orbides.1gb.ru/orbf/oglaclient-090321_beta-081113.zip

*Fixed Atlantis HUD
*Fixed Atlantis RMS animation bugs
*Fixed Cape Canaveral visibility
*Fixed Cape water mountains

*Fixed parameters dialog on Win7/Vista
*Fixed F7 dialog visibility and coherency

If you're testing it, Please post your system configuration and find a set of options that satisfy you, if any. Also, if some option gives an order of magnitude difference in FPS, please say about it.
(options are accessible in run time thru F7-numbers key presses from cockpit view)

If there are "weird looking", "oddly colored" or similar something, please provide screenshots.

Multilight headlights. Disable AG (F7, U) to use:

No idea what it is.
Can you get rid of it without turning advanced graphics off?
Shadows? Airshade?

Is there anyway to have multi-lights with advanced graphics activated for mapped shadows? Would like to see how the multi-lights on Atlantis affects objects in the payload bay as orbiter lights are located in the bottom of the payload bay.
The extra lights won't affect the shadows. If you want multiple lights with reasonable shadows, that's raytracing already, at 0.01FPS, or some tricky, tricky optimizations of a dozen projections, still at noticeable FPS price.
As for multilight+ AG, to be fixed.

Clouds are yellow?
Screenshot please?

Shadows? Airshade?
Shadows cause the problem, combined with advanced graphics (mapped and auto).

This error message shows up when I try to activate OGLAClient in the Modules tab. Orbiter doesn't crash afterwards though.
No other module, apart from OGLAClient, is activated.

It happens on both orbiter.exe and Orbiter_ng.exe

Tried the OGLA_setscene scenario. Pressing F7 during simulation doesn't do anything. No OGLA effects (air shade, terrain) were visible. No Orbiter.log file was found.

System: Vista x32, Intel Quad-core CPU, 4GB RAM. Graphic card ATI Radeon HD 3650, 1658MB memory, display 1280x1024x32.
Used Orbiter081111beta, OGLA090321, no heightmaps installed. EDIT: doesn't work even with Earth heightmap installed.

Any clue how to fix this? :(

EDIT: By the way the loading/startup screen is black. This picture could not be seen when Orbiter is loading.
