Well, darn. Got my textbooks recently and it turns out we're kicking off Computer Science 101 with Python. Was hoping to be able to do something Orbiter-related as a project this term.

if you ever see a Python language developer, give him a friendly kick in his astern from me. It is too easy to ruin a good function by just switching between two editors and back.

Python, of the Monty variety... Heard about SciPy and NumPy, and there are a few physics-related packages that make use of Python. Why don't they teach you Fortran?

(Internal editor's note: the sinister suggestion of teaching Haskell and Lisp during CS 101 was overruled by a very vocal majority)

Well my science fair tests are going well. My science teacher likes the project, so it looks like a good idea.

And a reminder for Coolhand - on April 2008, in context i don't quite remember, you presented me these two vessel meshes for the then-unreleased project.

you know I really don't remember that but other than being able to hack a DVD on a spindle in a drawer - though who knows, it may not be beyond your skills - there's no other way you could have had them.:)

Thanks for the credit, maybe i'll be able to dig out a couple more for you sometime...? Do you have ground, collision & vehicles btw?

The whole thing happened between 12th and 17th of April, 2008.
You sent me the meshes, i sent you a screenshot of Zacorus in-game ( http://orbides.1gb.ru/orbf/s-way-zacorus-in.jpg ), you asked if i had something playable, i sent you an experimental build 080417, and never heard from you since.

Remotely hacking a DVD in a drawer, hm?
Conceivable, impractical.

Add-ons are always welcome.
There are features for ground vehicles, planes, etc, the list is here:
http://s-way.sourceforge.net/vessels.php
Collisions are only against terrain.
