The Rover seems to increase speed over time.

EDIT: How recent is this image?

Honest show of hands... Who here had ever heard of Benghazi before the war, and who knows whether it is east or west of Tripoli without looking it up?

I had and I would have been able to tell that it was SURE east of Tripoli.

But I would have failed tell where it exactly is there. It just played a minor role in WW2.

Actually, now that I think of it, there is more than one Tripoli

Libya's Tripoli is called 'Tarabulus al-Gharb' in Arabic (roughly means 'the West Tripoli') to tell it apart from the Lebanese Tripoli (which is just 'Tarabulus'). But still, CNN failed. :)

Can anyone tell me something quickly?
How does a Core2 Quad 2.40 GHz stack up against a Core2 Duo 2.66 GHz?
Is it better? worse? about the same?

In 80% of all cases, the Duo will be better, because the software doesn't make use of the multiple cores.

There was a young girl named Miss. Bright.
Who could travel faster than light.
She departed one day
In an Einsteinian way
And came back the previous night.

I just remembered a show I used to watch called Saved by the Bell.
I just found out it was old when I used to watch it.
I feel old already. :(

I watched "Saved by the Bell", but I liked an earlier incarnation of a "classroom" show by the name of "Welcome Back Kotter".

And for the geography... Has anyone else memorized "The Nations of the World" by Yakko Warner? It's dated, but I can still recite it (to my wife's amazement).

This weekend is shaping up to be pretty good. I got a new backpack, shoes, socks, and shirts at REI, and today I got a haircut and stick time in a Cessna 172.

And it's not even half-over yet.

Nope...
Animaniacs - Nations Of The World - YouTube

Anyone is welcome to try though. ;)

It's interesting that the song mentions Israel and Palestine separately, yet just mentions "Korea" without any North or South. Probably just to get the meter to line up though. I was also taken by surprise by "both Yemens". I was not aware that there had ever been more than one.

Has anyone watched the IAAF World Championships in Daegu? If you have, you might of seen this spectacular lead by Usain Bolt in the 4x100 meter finals. He left them a mile back. Go Jamaica!
