You know, when you think about it, the ability to change lead into gold begins to sound like something out of a science fiction novel- maybe some kind of advanced supercollider which smashes lighter elements together to create gold atoms. It would use far more energy than, say, the LHC, because it uses exponentially more mass than the LHC. A few atoms of gold for each collision just wouldn't cut it.

You could have a bunch on the Moon, where there's lots of real-estate. They could have large fields of solar panels to constantly collect energy. The company slogan would be called "Lunar Chemical: Alchemists of the solar system". :)

Or you could think less about it and just laugh at the joke. :P

Nah, let the Lucas-ite ramble, it distracts him from the Purists from kidnapping George Lucas and torturing him into revealing the location of the original Star Wars prints

Sure... even though I think you got the situation in reverse there, bud.

I'm going to make a magical cure-all from hawk feathers and mudcrab claws.

That's not alchemy, that's medicine, although the two of them were often enough confused, especially by common people and folklore, which is after all stories crafted for and usually by common people. And by Bethesda, of course.

Alchemy was actually a pretty decent first attempt at serious chemistry, but given the lack of instruments to see what was actually going on it was of course a purely hypothetical field, and the experiments were not quite easy to set up either.

Sssssh, you're not supposed to know that. :P

I don't use mudcrab for medicine, I use him to sell weapons and armour to!

Oh right, I all but forgot about that particular mudcrab. The richest individual in all of Vvardenfell

Someone should have moded a quest in which it is revealed that it's a cursed prince/princess, and make you break the curse and marry it...

Or reunite him/her with his/her long-lost love...Creeper of Caldera. :P

+500 internet kudos to jedidia and Izack for loving Morrowind!

It's been far too long since I've played morrowind. Last I remember is stocking up 500 bottles of skooma and taking it all at once to see how fast I could go... that was fun.

Last time I "played" it in 2010, when I was still developing the MGE (until rev. 178), but then Orbiter 2010 came out. :P
