I let out a nostalgic squee...this was my introduction into not only FPS games, but Battlefield...

Still have the 1942 anthology. Played through the campaigns, played MP a few times with a friend over my LAN, been in the box ever since. Not my favorite game, although it could be fun, at times...

It certainly wasn't the *best* game, it did have its qualities.

Huzzah! Now I can finally empty my CD drive and not be tempted by no-CD cracks. (I literally have had it constantly in my CD drive for an extended time..)

I have fond memories of BF1942 (and mods--Desert Combat and Galactic Conquest) from high school.

There was only one WWII game which really amazed me. And I still play it once a year...
