Capsule air pressure is coming down. is door opened? i missed video.

Stable now :)

Chute opened !!

So was he supersonic for a few seconds ? :P

He did it, after only 45 seconds of free fall. The sound barrier made him spin wildly but he managed to recover its attitude control. He just opened his chute, so its ok !

Next step : EVA reentry from orbit.

Amazing!

That was the most exciting aerospace event I have watched save only the shuttle launches I saw from the cape.

I have been glued to the TV since Discovery started their coverage at 9:AM est 5 and half hours ago.

I am so glad it was postponed so I could watch it.

That reminded me Mercury/Gemini programs, for some reason (global shape of the capsule, general look of the suit).

He should apply to be astronaut (when there will be available manned space vehicles).

That was incredibly intense. The breathing from Felix when he hit Mach 1 was telling of the whole situation.

I didnt think it was even possible to break the sound barrier with so little protection :)

geez he was spinning alot, i almost thought he was gonna kick the bucket. awesome, very skilled.

Worth noting that today is the 65th anniversary of Chuck Yeager breaking the sound barrier. And now we've broken the sound barrier with nothing but a pressure suit.
