No, can't say I have. Just haven't found notepad lacking really. Any special features to that? Linkage?

It's just a text editor my dad has on our computer. I'm not sure that it has many advantages over notepad (my dad got it back when notepad could only deal with 64k files), but I've generally found I like it better than notepad. My dad says that now he uses UltraEdit, which I haven't tried out yet, but he says has a bunch of features that neither TextPad or Notepad has.

However, Aero rocks. When I was first installing it I thought "oh good, Windows-Mac - joy....." but as I got to use it, I really like damn near everything about it. That is of course, after turning off User Account Control. It's not particularly 'chatty' now.

I've not used it enough to really know whether the "feel" part of the Aero look-and-feel is really bad, so I'll take your word for it that it's good, but I've seen it a fair bit on other people's machines, and the "look" part is nauseating. If/when I do get Vista, I'm still probably going to keep it on the classic interface.
