Question Lego add-ons teaser

I love doing 3d lego modeling a lot of space ships have accumulated on my computer which are easily convertible to orbiter 2016 but unfortunately I'm currently busy with another project I think it would be interesting

You can simply upload the meshes as "resources" and let others do the configs.
VesselBuilder would be perfect to get them flying.

the process of creating a lego mesh
1) program LeoCAD it creates an object from the constructor

2) download the old version blender-2.81a
3) ImportLDraw blender addon
4) import the model into the old blender and save for a new blender
5) open in a new blender Orbiter Mesh Tools for Blender 2.81
model ready for orbiter

If i was to replace the micro textures in the 3D9 which one would I edit for the normal map to look like legos? : for a brother who likes legos, actually the waves in lego normal map looks kinda cool!

No, I know how to use Ldraw and have been using it for a long time but for the D3D9 micro textures how would I turn them into legos as it were

It's hard for me to say I haven't done this yet I think I'll have to make a separate image and apply it using UV map

have you used the micro textures for D3D9 I think you could just edit one or two and keep the color while getting the lego normal

there's my normal map used it to replace the ocean D3D9 texture and now have lego water!

The result: the bricks are a little big to say the least but it's a start!

Maybe the most fun part will be finding lego sets that resemble the ship enough to replace it and/or making my own! also, should I open another thread for dev and if so how would I do that?

My favorite has always been the star fleet voyager (because I had it)
