Hi! :hello:
After being thanked by Tex himself (oyeah!), I put up a second edition of the Orbiter Calendar, featuring your pictures!
So for this edition you'll have until December 15 to post your screenshots, and until the 25 to vote. The 13 first screenshots will be taken, the most voted being put as a cover, and the 12 remaining going from less voted for January to most voted for December.
As last time the PDF will be available as a download on Orbit Hangar.

WARNING: Submission are closed. Thanks to all of you that submitted your photos !

Rules for this edition:
- No restrictions on add-ons used.
- No restrictions on planets used.
- You may use D3D9/D3D11 to improve image quality, and may use any of the Orbiter betas. (Modified on 11/30)
- Try to keep the picture without the blackness of space.
- Keep a good resolution to your pic. (1280x720 at least, even though it gets blurry one on a A4 paper)
- Maximum of 4 pictures will be taken per poster (added 11/30)

- Please don't do too much post-production (such as color-correction) and keep the pic clear of text. If you want to add one, write it over your picture.
- If you post multiple images, post them by order of preferences, and if not enough people post, then your posts will be registered by that order.

May the best get to the cover page !

Somewhere, but not here.
Perhaps one of these?

Might be a bit too post-production-ey but I figured I'd throw these up for auction...err debate. :p

Get a little HASSESA in the Calendar.

I posted two because I didn't know if the first one would be acceptable. Please let me know which one you take if you choose one.

Hard to avoid space blackness, but this is pretty balanced.

Both images had the contrast adjusted and were sharpened.

First, replacing the blackness of space with Titan's haze:

Second, AMSO launch with the VAB in the background:

STS, I didn't take your second screenshot because it was mostly blackness.

jroly, wow those screenshots! Orbiter 2014 does really up the realism and quality there!

Also, I slightly modified the rules to explicitely include the betas, and to atke a maximum of 4 screenshots (the first 4 will be taken if more are posted).

Is this good?

Well, I guess it's a bit too black, but maybe you can increase the brightness or something.

How much is too much black? That's tough for a space simulator.
I know, but it adds challenge ;)
Ideally no blackness of space should be seen, but since it's almost impossible, I'd say that 60% black is too much black (it's a rule of thumb, and doesn't take into account black parts of spaceships; however shadows does count since it can add a great deal of darkness)
