Hello. Ever since I downloaded gravity tool, ([ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3190"]Gravity Tool[/ame]) every single scenario has stopped working. Normally when this happens it is because I am missing some files, but even after removing all of the download, nothing works. I have tried almost everything with no success, and would appreciate any advice. Thanks for your help.

Any chance of us getting the Orbiter.log after the crash ? that can probably help us find the problem

I know that this is probably the most common and stupid question asked, but where is orbiter.log? I know that I am have seen it before in the main directory, and I have set the folder options to display hidden folders, but it simply does not exist.

in the same folder as the main orbiter application should be a text file called orbiter.log
if you have extensions hidden it might just be listed as "orbiter". trying searching the folder where orbiter lives for the orbiter.log file.

and zatman beat me by seconds!

The Orbiter log is found in the same directory that you have Orbiter install in. Near the bottom it will usually tell you at which point the application turned south.

If it's Windows Vista/7 and Orbiter is in "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)", then look in "\Users\(USERNAME)\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Orbiter".

In XP and when Orbiter is outside of Program Files in Win7/Vista, it should be in Orbiter's folder.

Thanks for the help. This is what I got:

On the video tab, make sure "always enumerate devices" is checked. On the same tab, make sure you're not using "RGB Emulation" in the drop-down menu.

It seems like another application is running a D3D hook which prevents orbiter from creating its own session. Make sure you have no active 3D applications running.

Odd. It looks like you are running Orbiter 2006, not 2006P1 as most of the dates are on 25th May 2006, when P1 is 29th September 2006. Try upgrading from the Orbiter website.

That's wrong. the very first line shows that he is running Orbiter 2006 P1 -> Build Sep 29 2006 [v.060929]

Some of the DLL files were not changed so carry the date stamp of orbiter 2006. I've checked my own orbiter.log and it shows the same and I've definetly on P1!

If you found your Orbiter.log in the "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore", try to run Orbiter as Administrator, or move it out of Program Files and try from there.

Anyways, try to run it as Administrator first.
