ORBITER-FORUM will be temporarily closed at 2026-07-23 18:00 UTC while we complete some OF maintenance tasks. The amount of downtime is expected to take up to one hour, but probably less.
On a random note...
Not every lesson was fun during school. Sometimes you just had to doodle. Eventually, the doodling turned into a game of pencil and eraser enabling things to fight on paper. It's this game that i implemented one day, since it looked like something that can be turned into a computer game.
Tentatively named "Bits", the game puts you in control of a single ship against a death star and it's escort, fighting over a notebook page. Should be a fun one-time thing.
If anyone is interested, here it is: http://orbides.org/page.php?id=1014

I knew that children between 4 and 6 ask an average of 400 questions per day.
That is, I knew the number, but I didn't know what it means.
Now I realise that you're effectively getting DOSed for 700 days in a row...
You seriously thought it would be that easy?I finally managed to take out all the escorts, only to find out that then the death star itself starts shooting at you
But it is kinda cute, isn't it.
No alcohol for me again. Never.
I should have left out the booze. My stomach... My head... Everything hurts.
"Bier auf Wein, das lass sein!"
Jägermeister is pure evil.
Random detour into the Captain Obvious territory, or why does it hurt to make your projects open-source: On hoarding ideas
That's the whole point. Death is not there to last, most likely. You won't take something with you

Now, who would get the immortality drugs? The rich and known, or random nobodies?
Same thing about today's reality - who would get rushed to their cryonics institution - someone no one would miss for months, or someone well known?
That's why it can matter.
If we are getting to the point of immortality drugs, it perfectly helps to my "conviction" (We are getting close to basement here, talking about something like religion):

Well then, off to the basement we shall go! See you there for a spirited discussion...![]()
