Working on the solar array and antenna animations for Almaz. I think I'll abandon the realistic deployment of the solar arrays for this station (I can't get the individual mesh groups of the solar arrays to fold properly). Going to move forward with the simple scaling/rotating mode instead.

Recently using this addon again and it appears something is wrong with the "Soyuz 19 launch" scenario is ASTP, I think it's because it says that the scenery is not cataloged despite me having it installed and being able to find it in my folders, any idea what this could be? I have unblocked orbiter from anything that could stop it and have tried running it as admin but it doesn't appear it's an issue with it not being able to read the files.

Salyut 4 animations complete....

Virtual cockpits are also applied in all of the Salyut stations. For Salyut 1 and 6, their VC uses those from MaxBuzz's Mir station complex addon, while the Almaz stations (Salyut 3 and 5) and Salyut 4 uses 4throck's Zvezda Virtual Cockpit addon.

The animation commands to all stations are all the same:
  • [CTRL]+[SHIFT]+G = Deploy Solar Arrays
  • [CTRL]+[SHIFT]+K = Deploy IGLA Antenna
  • [SHIFT]+G = Stow Solar Arrays
  • [SHIFT]+K = Stow IGLA Antenna
  • [CTRL]+[SHIFT]+1 and [SHIFT]+1 = Rotate Solar Arrays manually for Salyut 6 only
Some few minor tweaks will be needed before update release on OHM

UPDATE: 2021-Jul-4

The whole Salyut program is now available for download. Recoded them as one VesselBuilder spacecraft, including Salyut 1, 4, and 6. Take note that Salyut 4 and Salyut 6 are still separate addons to download

Added missions Soyuz 14 and 17. Addon requirements are also updated on the first post

Hello Gargantua! I wanted to extend a message of appreciation for bringing the Soyuz 7K to Orbiter 2016 and for including a 7K-TM for Apollo Soyuz! I'm currently working on my version of the Saturn IB and Saturn V for Orbiter 2016 and Multistage2015 and was excited to see a proper 7K-TM on the market. One thing I did notice when setting up the ASTP mission was an alignment issue with the Soyuz and the Docking Module. The rotation of the Soyuz is off by 90°.

This is how it looks when docked to the module:
Soyuz Docking Alignment 1.png

That red thing off to the side is actually the docking target for the Soyuz. Now, I can rotate the docking port in the configuration file for the docking module which does get the Soyuz in the proper alignment, but then the petals on the APAS-75 docking system no longer mesh properly:

Soyuz Docking Alignment 3.png

Here's the values I came up with for the Soyuz end of the Docking Module so the Soyuz lines up with the docking target:
Code:
 1.30  -0.075   -0.175     1  0  0    0  0  1 107.50 ; Soyuz

It should also help you have a reference for adjusting the APAS-75 pedals on the end of the 7K-TM.

Reworking the 7K-TM orbital module's mesh with the ASTP Docking Module included there temporarily for reference...

The APAS rings on the Soyuz side were now rotated....going to test it shortly

Perfect! Works like a champ now! I'll also include the updated Docking Module code to go with this patch.

Code:
; === Configuration file for ASTP Docking Module ===

Meshname = ASTP-DockingModule
Mass = 2012
Size = 1.6
Inertia = 2.0 2.0 2.0

BEGIN_DOCKLIST
 1.30  -0.075   -0.175     1  0  0    0  0  1 107.50 ; Soyuz
-1.70  -0.125    -0.175   -1  0  0    0 -1  0 107.70 ; Apollo End
END_DOCKLIST

I did a little more research and discovered that the APAS-75 petals on the docking module are actually themselves not aligned properly (they're off by 180°). To be 100% accurate the petals on both the DM and the Soyuz need to be rotated 180°. I apologize for only just now discovering this after you went through all the work to change the Soyuz mesh.

Great work! The Docking Module APAS needs a little rotational tweak but other than that it's almost there. The Soyuz itself is 100% good in my opinion.

Congratulations for the addon, it's really beautiful. Unfortunately in the Salyut launch scenarios Orbiter CTD's during the loading screen. If I load in orbit scenarios it works correctly. I add the log in case it helps.

Based on your Orbiter.log (or the launch scenarios) it seems like you haven't have the Proton 3.1 and Historical Spaceports 1.5 addons by igel installed, which are found on the same link (the Soyuz rocket is also there in case you haven't downloaded it yet) ?
