First, let me say that this is an amazing addon that I wouldn't be able to live without. :cheers:

But of course I have a slight problem. The generic autopilot usually works just fine, but whenever I try to launch sputnik's Dyna-Soar (on a Titan II w/ boosters), the autopilot has a tendency to become spastic.

The problem is primarily with the launch heading. The rocket rolls to near the correct heading, but then it has difficulty keeping track, yawing right and left constantly. After the boosters are jettisoned, all hell breaks loose. The core stage of the Titan does donuts as I hurtle up to apogee. After the core stage jettisons, the upper stage does donuts until I crash into the ocean.

Is there any way I can make the rocket more stable?
 
Is this a Velcro Rockets problem, or a CVEL Titans problem? The two use quite different autopilots, and it's CVEL Titans that has the yawing problem, at least when compared with Velcro.
 
Yeah, I noticed the Titan yaw problem, too. Seems like one SRB cuts off just a bit before the other and you wind up swinging wildly off to the side. I thought it was just my crappy FPS that was doing this, but I see I'm not the only one to notice.

Hmmmmmm... I think the X-20 is mounted on a CVEL Titan... so I think this is a Titan problem. I'll try out the other Titans and see how that goes.
 
I always thought the Cvel Titan yaw problem just me! Sometimes staging is as smooth as glass, sometimes not. It's nice to be in good company.

I'm pretty sure the X-20 addon uses the Cvel Titans, not Velcro.
 
One SRB can't cut off before the other, because the way it's coded, they're both feeding from the same propellant resource.

I don't know what causes the yaw, or I'd fix it. Though I've never found it to be too bad on any of the computer I've tried it on.

Nor do I know why Velcro Rockets does NOT do that, though the two are so different code-wise that it could be almost anything.
