Could I copy my directory then install beta over it and if it doesnt work delete it then paste what i copied back in that way I have a chance at keeping my addons (over 4gb worth)?
Keep your downloaded addons somewhere else. Only install the minimum number that you need for a particular installation. For example, I have an installation which has the DGIV, OrbiterSound, IMFD, TransX, AttitudeMFD. In another installation I have just AMSO, OrbiterSound and IMFD. Another one is a clean install with just a couple of addons I am developing. Have as many Orbiter installs as you like. The more the merrier. I strongly recommend for testing any beta, you use a clean install. Debugging a beta containing other addons makes your life and, more importantly, the developers life very difficult. No-one is doing this for bucks, so the less grief you give developers, the more you will get out of it.

EDIT: @Artlav, apologies for the OT rant...

I have a clean instalation for beta testing and another with a lot of addons installed, about 1,5 gig of addons , but not AMSO or other big packs.

Thanks for the hard work Artlav, its a greeat work in progress! I've notices a few things tho:

The image above has no atmospheric haze or magnification on the moon. The Moon on the left is the original while the moon on the right is a zoom in.

The air shade on Mars makes it look foggy.

The buildings at Olympus Base dont have and paint.

Its hard to see on this image but when the lights are turned on from the Deltaglider, the reflect off the clouds as well as the iss, just enough to be noticed in the simulator.

And lastly in full screen mode I cant the my mouse cursor and the invisible cursor keeps clicking on the start menu and task bar. Im using nvidea so no discolored planets for me, but i think my laptop is ati so i check that out later.

 and thanks again for your hard work,

EDIT: cpu=3.2GHZ oc, graphics=nvidea 8600gtx, Memory=4GB, display=max 1280x1024, Operating System=Vista x32

The buildings at Olympus Base dont have and paint.

That isn't a bug. They're plain white, even in 090629.

Looks like ATI, now AMD, fixed the issue on their own - i got hands on a new Fierstream GPU, and voila - no bug.
Damn.

The image above has no atmospheric haze or magnification on the moon. The Moon on the left is the original while the moon on the right is a zoom in.
Known bug. No air-shading of distant moons and planets.
The air shade on Mars makes it look foggy.
On Mars the airhaze is an accident, not a complete feature. To be fixed as the development continues.

Its hard to see on this image but when the lights are turned on from the Deltaglider, the reflect off the clouds as well as the iss, just enough to be noticed in the simulator.
Better screenshots or a repeat steps please? Can't see any problems in the provided one.

And lastly in full screen mode I cant the my mouse cursor and the invisible cursor keeps clicking on the start menu and task bar.
Full screen mode? Is it supported? :)
To be fixed.

Ohhhh where can I get the build from three months from now? :p
Get a well-oiled time machine:

Better screenshots or a repeat steps please? Can't see any problems in the provided one.
Its the least serious problem though. When you turn the headlights on and off they reflect on the clouds on Earth as well as the iss.

finialy i ger this error when i exit.
Ya i get that one also.

And is any one else having problems with the sound module crashing orbiter?

L10 texture sets

I have searched the forum but found no answer. Does the OGLAClient support L10 texture sets?

Nothing suspicious in the logs.
Is the error repeatable?
If yes, how to repeat it?

I get the error every time that I close the orbiter launchpad regardeless of weather or not I have run any sceneriaos or which moduales I have activated. Could this be a x64 OS issue.

NOTE: this is a sergicialy clean install without even orbitersound installed.

Ok, miss that. Btw, I suggest that altitudes for LOD change should be slightly modified (L8 textures look quite ugly if the camera is just above the level when terrain is applied). Here's a compare to original Orbiter visualizer(beta) where L10 lod is applied much higher.

The above picture shows the problem during the day as opposed to the night. On the left is with the headlights off and to the right is with the headlights on. The right image has brighter clouds and a stronger reflection on the water by the sun.

And then this is the same thing but from a different angle. Again, the left image has no headlights while the right image has headlights on.

And in order to reproduce this problem alll you have to do is hit "F7 and U" in Orbiter with OGLA on and you'll see it.

The same red problem here with a ATI Sapphire HD 4870
Only on the "shadow mapped" option.

Where's the new terrain?

I downloaded and tried the newest public beta orbiter090331beta_base.zip 77Mb's.

Where's the new terrain? There's no option in the settings for terrain. Is it supposed to be there in the base pack?

Or is it in the add on base texture pack Earth080910.zip 292Mb's ?

ps. - It's been a while (couple of years) since I've visited the forum and it's changed. My old account was deleted so I've had to create a new one. So far the postings of the new terrain look great but if I can only see them.

The terrain isn't inclueded in the orbiter beta.
You must download the newest OGLA client.

OGLA client download is linked in this thread.
