Spacecraft personifications

There's as much class in this thread as anywhere else in the forum. Different taste, yes certainly. Borderline ridiculous, definitely. Insanely, unquestionably off-topic and uncharacteristic, well... yeah.
I literally laughed out loud 3 times, and then one more time!

Thanks. Thanks a lot.

Getting back on topic, and by "on topic", I mean this thread is like a party van driving on railroad tracks, rather than a party van in Geosynchronous Mars orbit...OK, stupid analogy...
Getting back on topic, now that OFMM is expected to kickoff somewhere in the range of the Day After Tomorrow to 28 Days Later (Brillig on a Tuesday, no doubt), what suggestions do you ("you" as in "everyone including, but not limited to, Izack") have for the OFMM vehicle's characters?
Aside from Azure, we don't know for sure what they will look like, but their personalities should be clearly defined in the manual, if you look hard enough. I know the Skycranes are going to be really interesting, and all the vehicles will complement each other by design, so it all works out. :)
We need bullet lists though. Bullets, bullets! Dodge them, shoot them, write them!

LOL, thx mc_ for that lovely picture BTW!

I was thinking I'd have the docked vessel hold on to Arrow's back and hide under her cape. Can't think of a better (more clever) way right now.

Also, expect a vector drawing sometime (I wouldn't say soon). ;)

Ummm... :shifty: :uhh:

WTFF?
That's some inverse sanity thread.

Also nice drawings, Crab in the River.
How long have you been practising?

Thanks! I've been practising all my life, really. It's mostly self-taught, which probably explains something.
Although, I'm better with a brush than with a pen:

And everyone is better with magical Photoshop:

BTW, what's the second F...never mind.

Let's see how long we can stay on topic this time...

Anyway, now that the Boeing's Dreamliner has made it's debut, I thought I'd check if the inevitable has happened yet. Sure enough...and it happened 2009, January 4:

ドリームライナー

以前、マイピクの深霧さんのキャラをお借りした絵です。ブルーで綺麗にまとめられていて、描いてて楽しかったりw

Dreamliner

From previous debt to MyPixiv's Fukasame-san's character. I drew her all pretty in blue, it was funnn~

Note the lack of Kibble; no aircraft parts visible on her at all. What do you think, is she recognizable?

Also note that the ~ was actually a "w"; Japanese have this special relationship with the letter W. It's pronounced like "Double", and you can add it to the ends of words/sentences like it's a squiggly linew
Any English people who want to simplify your language (no doubt Americans), the Japanese language could use your W.

EDIT: Wow, I just answered myself at the first sentence of this post.

I never really got that 'w' thing. After reading your post...I still don't get it.

This is so totally on-topic.

Xyon has enligtened me with this image, which I must post in the most necoromancing of manners:

Seriously folks, any suggestions for personifying the OFMM vessels?
As you can see I'm getting excited, what with all the British war propaganda.

Can't this wait until we have some OFMM vessels?

Stole your propaganda, by the way. It's perfect.

Hey, what with the Lite project using Arrows and Deltagliders and whatnot, any chance of some new pictures? :)

Heck, you could personify Phobos if you wanted.

Yeah, good call there! Don't worry, there will be more from me, one way or another. I have some that I haven't gotten around to scanning so I'll start with those, and the G42 will need updating- it's Tuesday. ;)

Personifying Phobos? I can't help but think of something like this Futurama episode...
Futurama_ep52.jpg

HA LOL!
that's one of the best episodes EVER!!! All hail Metal Lord!

tho, most episodes of that show are awesome - it's just a great show  - the one where the evil brains are trying to destroy the universe is so hilarious...

Once again, proving that Futurama is globally awesome.

For right now, here is a poem I wrote a long time ago, and yes, it is on topic.
I actually posted it way back in another thread, where it had hundreds of views, but it turns out that thread is a black hole of comments. The forum also compressed my PDF into a terrible JPEG. :(

For later, there is also a picture to go with it, which does not fit in my scanner.

OK, I managed to get the pic for that poem, but I just realised, it might not be safe for this forum. :(

It has a nude-shaped silhouette, and although it really is just art, I can see people getting unsure over it, although not reasonably IMO.
If you've ever heard of the painting "September Morn", you will know what I mean. It's art, and that's all that it is. If the poem was safe then this should be. Especially if it was safe in the ridiculously politically-correct USA.

Nevertheless, if you're offended, just PM me and I'll take it down.

Anyway, I had to do some saturation-vibrance action in Photoshop because the scanner can't accurately capture watercolours, so it's not really the same. But it's not false coloured either. Also, the edges are blurred and cut off because it was wider, I didn't want to crop it. No manipulation otherwise.

why is it that, after looking at your drawing just now, makes the images of Asakura ryoko to fly around with a knife in my head? :uhh:
