This thread is awesome. Its good the shuttle A is getting some love. Since I am in the 'cannot draw' category, I'll do some more imaging to make up for it.
Sukumizu Gemini?:hmm: You could give her a Ultraman style mask, only it looks like the Gemini spacecraft from head on instead of Ultraman. Cause after some long hard thought, there isn't much from the actual ship that could identify it(like wings, tanks, other thingys), besides the large letters "UNITED STATES" painted on:lol:.
Anyway since the last comment on personifying Gemini was bare on personality, here goes some ideas:
1.She is insecure about her accomplishments because of all the praise and attention that Apollo gets, so she overcompensates. Generally acts like the mistreated ace of the space program.
2.(This ties into No.1) Fully believes and will tell anybody in earshot; that she could have done everything Apollo did, cheaper and faster too. Also has similar ideas about how America's space station projects turned out, kinda like her saying " I could have done it! If only they let me do it! Stupid NASA!" about Skylab and even into the shuttle era.
3. Despite the chip on her shoulder, she is happy to teach others about rendezvous, docking, EVAs and other techniques she helped develop. After all, she should recognize that although she can't go out again, its what she learned and discovered that maybe more important than what she actually did in space. Maybe. It doesn't stop her from throwing in what she did, and still could do yet, in her lessons.
While I can stand by the above as being good, I thought up a joke thing that I don't think should be included. Basically its that Gemini wanted to be more developed into a bigger, more capable craft, like her predecessor Mercury was developed into her. So she goes about thinking shes 'underdeveloped'. Which feeds into her feelings over not being allowed to grow into something badass. Though I really don't know if this is a good idea. I'm a hack not a genius, so I'll put this before others to judge.
This bothered me.

And of course she is willing to blow herself half up to (hopefully) give the crew a chance to survive, unlike R2(XR2 that is). Being on the ball enough(or however autopilots affect personality) to aid her captain to orbit and bring him back down if his reentry skills are up to par should be part of how she acts; I don't do anthropomorphizing enough
lol
to really be sure as how to do that.
I posted that.:facts: I feel like a narcissistic ass for pointing this out, but still I would like something done about this.
