A little response to Mission_CDR's poll. I hope some of you will appreciate the extra options.

I nearly went for Roger Calero because I saw him speak over here in Australia. But then I thought otherwise.
Quite funny, somebody asked him what his realistic hopes are for the election because 'you must realise you're not going to win.'

Personally, I could never support a candidate whose party had the word '"socialist" in its name.

Neither TBH. I just mentioned it because I'd seen him (maybe not that amazing, but us Australians don't get to see Presidential candidates that often, even if they are only Socialist party representatives!).

'fraid I had to go with Bob Barr. Of all the ones up there, he'd probably do the least damage. Actually, I'd go for Sarah Palin for president, but she's not running for that job yet.

That can be arranged after the election.

A political marriage between a old man and a young woman... damn, I thought this only happened in feudal Europe!

I was thinking more along the lines of "hunting accident". ;)

The sound you hear is the sound of me exiting this thread, followed by the sound of the Secret Service's spybots...

If that was something to worry about, three-quarters of the posters at DU, Kos and Huffpo would have been in jail four years ago ...

If enough of them split the voting, maybe the write-ins for Micky Mouse, will have a shot.

For me it is not out of a love for Obama. There are many things about the democrats I do not like. Abortion and their threats to personal firearm ownership really bother me. However, John McCain is a rich man and has proven himself very far out of touch with the everyday working person. I was waffling on the decision until Sarah Palin, who truly frightens me.

The discussions have been interesting since they have shown that most people cannot be labled, but seem to pick and choose elements of all sides and then vote according to which ones matter most to them.

To me what matters most are labor issues and the idea of a radical theocrat a hearbeat away from the White House.

I vote for Obama as the most likely one to stop Sarah Palin

Indeed, and the ascension of her ladyship the obscure wilderness godly queen can be arranged after the old man dies. :p

I'm for McCain. If not, and O'bama wins...things will go to h-e-double hockey sticks. I'm hoping for a Palin run in 2k12. She's the future of the Republican party.

Obama will not win anyway, as long as he does not get at least 55% of the votes... ;)

Christopher...Walken...is not...running...for President - as far as...I...know. However, I'm...sure that he...appreciates...your...support.

The one with the supporters who can hack the voting machines first will win.
