I did try to drive this on the Moon and seemed to go sideways and could not attach the base to the cabin
General vehicle have a issue on driving sideways near/at the poles.

What are the coordinates of your landing spot and the Candor Chasma?

just a thought: Eva from one of the two airlocks, add a retractable ladder (KSP style) underneath?

I would literally take KSP as a rough example, maybe keep it simple and see what it looks like first?

OK. I have KSP. Does it have a MMSEV?
I am thinking just some segments that fold under the airlock and unfold

YESS! it does, don't look, they have everything, and nice models too!
Actually I just meant the generic ladder, I don't recall what they did with the KSP model? Might be interesting to look though?

Planetside Exploration Technologies - Looks like a really nice mod

On the ladder - Can't really see, or they didn't bother!

Let me put something together. There may be a wheel below the airlock. So might be able to add it there.

On the VC. I get this. The red color is just to see if it bleeds into the external mesh. I can extend the back to the back of the vessel.

It looked like it had 4 MFD.

I wonder if we want the extensions around the windows going forward.?

I hate to disagree but I think the ladder needs to be between these wheels and the aft EVA door folds up

If we go that route then the lower door would have steps on the inside.

The problem then becomes out do the guys get into that rear area?

So basically 3 models. SEV (no wheels), MMSEV wheels, LER similar body and wheels.

But the SEV and MMSEV have round airlocks for connecting with space stations or other SEV/MMSEV. BUT the LER had rectuangluar hatches. The habitat module have these also.

Also the SEV had 2 robotic arms.

The SEV had a rear section which served as an eva section. But it was equipped with the backpad which is part of the wall.

If the MMSEv is basically a SEV with wheels. Then it seems that eva on the surface would be thru the aft section.

SEV: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Exploration_Vehicle

mentions:
Astronauts can enter and exit without space suits directly from an airlock docking hatch, or through a suitport without the need to depressurize the habitat module.[13]

The pressurized module contains a small bathroom with privacy curtains and a shower head producing a water mist for sponge baths.[14] It also contains cabinets for tools, workbench areas and two crew seats that can fold back into beds.[14]

I have been able to get to the Noctus Landing site and using Gattis's MMSEV to explore the Area. I think with a little more work this will make a super addon.. a place for a Mars base and the Connecting ridge near Malapert for a Moon Base
