OGLAClient status release 090612:
http://orbides.1gb.ru/orbf/oglaclient-090612_beta-090523.zip

This is an another "it's still alive" status release.
Nothing significantly new, besides some terrain improvements, but some things was fixed.

The main point of this release is the ATI graphic cards bug.
The red devil bug, present on most ATI cards in the last release should be fixed now.
If you have an ATI card, please check this.
Tested on Radeon HD 4670.

Needed latest public Orbiter beta here:
http://download.orbit.m6.net/betaTB24S/orbiter090523beta_base.zip
Note that this is beta 090523. The one that is latest on OVP page - 090520 - will not work.

Installation:
Copy Beta 090331 (http://orbitervis.wiki.sourceforge.net/OrbiterPublicBeta) into a folder, copy latest Orbiter beta 090523 over it, copy OGLAClient over it, optionally, copy heightmaps in.

Pre-composed heightmaps:
http://orbides.1gb.ru/orbf/earth-hmap-lv8.zip (84Mb) Very recommended. Terrain is a bad joke without it.
http://orbides.1gb.ru/orbf/mars-hmap-lv8.zip (82Mb)
http://orbides.1gb.ru/orbf/moon-hmap-lv8.zip (81Mb)
Also, the old World Studio is included for better heightmaps and Lv12-Lv17 texture acquisition.

New Landmarks:
Slightly new terrain:

Extra-Orbiter OGLA engine features:
http://orbides.1gb.ru/planeter-gal.php?lng=rus

Old Landmarks:
New atmosphere:

Moon with heightmap:

Low Earth orbit+lv11:

Headlights:

Rings of Saturn:

DG panels and 2D stuff:

Red Devil bug seems to be gone, but the Earth terrain has craters now :p

Edit: I also noticed, that the menu and option windows (like Camera, Object Info etc.) don't have close buttons.

Clean install of 090331 and 090523, but still can't get it work.

Let's see:
You unpack orbiter090331beta_base.zip into a clean folder,
unpack orbiter090523beta_base over that, then unpack oglaclient-090612_beta-090523 into the result, launch Orbiter_ng.exe, activate the module, and run some scenario, right?

At which point the error pops up?

Proof of concept limitation for the new terrain methods. To be fixed.

I have an impression it's a beta bug, the client is not quite responsible for the dialog windows.

Sorry for having missed that point.
When I try to activate the module. It fails to activate.

why every base exept ksc have a crater around it?

The terrain looks too soft to me, but i placed the heightmap in orbiter dir/heightmap.

For me, on the 3d cockpit in dg, the hud is blank and light grey.

I'm having some issues with the links to Artlav's downloads, primarily the OGLA client. Says the file cannot be found. Can anyone confirm it's working? If not, is there an alternate way to obtain this version?

EDIT: Issue resolved. Must have been a problem with the server.

LOL i downloaded this cliend, i used it 2 times. Since that, when i start orbiter, ogla loading, then the screen fall apart, and the video driver restarts, and some glitches remain on static things in os, fe opera background, and window frames looks like a heavy compressed jpeg. And ofc no problem without ogla.

This one works really good for me, but you should add smooth transitions from mountanious to flat planets, like in your video.

I also like the atmosphere, it makes the lighting much better.

However, I think there is a small bug (see attached image).

Thanks for your work!

To allow landing on them - otherwise you'll sink into the mesh. No collision detection so far.

For me, on the 3d cockpit in dg, the hud is blank and light grey.
Elements in VC's are sort of not supported yet.

Temporary server outage, reason unknown.

Sounds serious.
What GPU, OS?
Is it reproducible?
Any screenshots of "window frames looks like a heavy compressed jpeg"?

That will be a little hard to do, since it needs 2 meshes rendered at once. Not sure i'll add that.

However, I think there is a small bug (see attached image).
Something is odd in the OVP data, still fixing that one.

With the older version I had the problem that it seems ogla isn't active. But there I made the mistake to run normal orbiter config not ng. When I had noticed that I tested ng and it works.( it was my mistake).
Now with the new version I have nearly the same problem. I have no terrain and no F7 option...nothing. But now I launched it realy with orbiter_ng. Also it is a bit different. I have no sun in ng (ogla version).
