two days ago was Srebrenica memorial day. The TV was runing in our living room, and they were sending coverage the whole day. Lots of talk-talk by politicians, but one scene caught me completely by surprise and sent me laughing and caughing for a few minutes:
At first they were talking about how many victims were already burried, how many were buried this year, how many they expect aso. Then everyone took a turn talking about how tragic it was and how it should never happen again, and they threw in a few scenes from comemoration speeches that were held in other countries. Among others germany. And there it comes, between bodycounts and depictions of the massacre, some german politician gets to say a few words, in front of him a sign saying "Deutschland kann es besser"!! (Germany can do it better, probably the slogan of his party for this year or somesuch).
I guess the people cutting the stuff together over here weren't too adept at german... :rofl:
